a visit to the tree farm...

Time for the Friends to pick out a Christmas tree!

What about this one over here?
Brrr! It sure is windy out here on the tree farm!
This tree was absolutely perfect. Good thing it fit in the car!
Aw thanks, Cubbie!
This sweet little Christmas branch is just the right size for us!

Little Bunny Tutu

Our latest little Friend has gone on adventure with a sweet little girl here in Charleston. I knew she would love the delicate pink dress that this little bun is wearing!

Hello sweet little dear...

My delicate pink ballet skirt is my favorite thing to wear...

This gazebo is a popular place to get married!

I like to imagine I am a famous dancer.

I'm ready for my closeup! Uh-oh... Too close!

I sometimes imagine that I am a beautiful pink butterfly...

Always remember to stop and smell the roses!

Mint's summer memories

Mint is one adventurous bunny!

Have you ever seen such a giant caterpillar? I wonder what kind it is...

Lounging around the pool is my favorite summertime activity!

Ahhh.... Now THIS is the life!

Fresh produce! A perfect snack.

Gotta run, Friends! See you later with more adventures!

Congratulations!

Lucky gal I am to have at least two faithful fans! I am pleased to announce the winners of the Costume Contest! Bee & her friend, Julia!

Yes, yes... one of those faithful fans is my own daughter, so I have decided to award a prize to both participants. Girls, you may choose a new outfit or a teensy tiny baby Friend. Thanks for your creative entries!

Our Friend Mint wrote to us today!

I've had a wonderful summer frolicking in the sand at the beach!

Digging is really hard work,
but building castles is one of my favorite things to do.

I should probably dig out a moat for my castle...
Those pesky crabs might try to crawl over and pinch me!

Bobbie

One last picnic before I head off on adventure... You just missed the squirrel who joined us for a little snack!
I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano... Now what should I play for my first performance at Alluette's?

Lambchop

My grandmother is an amazing seamstress. Many of my fondest childhood memories are of her sitting at her sewing machine with me nestled close by. She made my sisters and I EVERYTHING! Toys, clothes, even our underwear! Grandma showed me how to sew little projects here and there, but I admit I didn't catch on right away...

Now that I am a mother myself, I have revisited those old sewing lessons, much to my grandmother's delight. My own daughter has also expressed great interest in hand-sewing, and we've spent many hours bonding over needle and thread.

Her latest project, a sweet little creature she has named, Lambchop.

"Lambchop is shy, gets nervous easily, and only hangs out with his kitty friend, Feathertail who helps him be more adventurous."

"Come on Lambchop! You can do it!"

Peche and Lettuce play tag with other Friends at the park.

Phew! Virginia & Cubbie are safe at homebase!

Bunny is for Bea!

Another Friend is ready to hit the road for Charlotte, NC!

"Boy, the breeze down here by the water is just great."

I really love this fabric!

"I bet I can sprint across this street in no time flat!"

"I can't wait to visit with Chuckie Wabbie and give her the latest news from Paisley Garden!"

Little Sisters

The Garden has been literally... Hopping! We've been so busy getting Friends ready for brand-new adventures!

"Psst... Is it our turn yet?"

These sweet sisters love love love parties!

"I can't wait to eat a giant bowl of ice cream when I get there!"

"Me, too! And I heard we are going to a place called Flower Town. Sounds lovely!"

Virginia

This is Virginia! She is a full-time resident here at the Garden. This summer, she & Cubbie traveled to Pennsylvania with Dadadoda & Sister to their new home. On the way back home, though, Virginia took a little side trip to visit the Carnegie Museum!

"Hey... uh... I'm feeling kinda tired. Can you give me a ride?"
"Wheeee! Here we go! I better hold on tightly!"

"Oh my goodness! Well hello there fella! Thanks for the hug!"
"I can't wait to tell my Friend Emmy about this baby dinosaur! She LOVES dinosaurs!"

Emmy

Hanging around outside the teepee...

Let's make popcorn!

This beastie was quite taken by Emmy... see the dreamy look on his face?
Emmy makes friends wherever she goes!
Who wants to go for a swim?
Emmy stops for a rest with her friend, Pickles.

Until next time, Friends!
