The child is in me still and sometimes not so still

... One of my favorite quotes from Fred Rogers, who is always a great source of inspiration to me. I like this quote because it so aptly describes how I often feel in my life. I want so much to hold onto the spirit of my own childhood and share that sense of magic with children I know.

This summer we visited the Children's Museum in my old hometown, Pittsburgh. Our favorite exhibit is Mr. Roger's Neighborhood where you can play make-believe in the castle, sit in Trolley, or watch those wonderful factory films I always loved. If your travels ever take you to the steel city, be sure to visit this amazing museum for children of ALL ages!

Dadadoda & Sister

"Hey brother... This party sure looks fun! I can't wait to meet our new friends here!"

"I don't know, sis... Those steps sure look steep..."

"Aww, come on Brother! Live a little!"

"WHOOOHOOOO! I love going for a ride! This is the life!"

"See... I told you so!"

Virginia & Cubbie escorted Dadadoda & Sister on the big trip up north.

"I guess these stairs aren't so bad..."

Dadadoda says, "How do you like my handlebar mustache?"

"Eeeks! I think I'm stuck!"

"Oh I just love it here! The weather is fabulous!"
"Captain Acorn!"
Cubbie says, "Goodbye Friends! Enjoy life in the Burgh!"

"Hey big Brother... Let's sneak across the street and try to peek in the Villa Margarita! I saw a light in there last night... I wonder who lives there!"

"I don't know, Sis. It looks awfully spooky over there. I heard an old lady lives in there, and she doesn't sound a bit pleasant!"

"Oh hush. Don't be such a worry wart. I think she sounds absolutely lovely! I hope she invites us in for tea and a dip in the pool! Let's go!"

"Hey! What are you kids up to? Get yourselves back over here to the Garden!"

"Aw man! Old man Flattie busted us again. Maybe another day, brother..."
