Silver Buttons

Several years ago, I found this soulful little bear sitting all by himself at a local estate sale. He seemed to have lost his only friend... There are even a few loose threads on his back, perhaps where he was snuggled up to another bear, maybe?

It reminded me of a tiny bear I found one day on the playground in elementary school. Cold and wet, I took him in and claimed him for my own. Lost and lonely no more...

The Sugar Cube Tea Party

This week we were treated to a lovely evening at the home of our dear friend, Becky Becker. 

Lemon ginger tea with extra sugar cubes... My favorite!

Becky is an amazing puppeteer and creates the most wonderful shows for young children!

Miss Becky said we can jump on the bed! HEEHEEE!!!

Becky's home is a most magical place... tiny little treasures at every turn.

Cubbie hears a secret from an angel...

Maybe if we work together we can walk across the room in these old boots!

A little gift for Nate

 Having a bit of sewing skill certainly comes in handy -- especially when your little ones are invited to birthday parties every other weekend, it seems!


This weekend was a very special birthday and so required some extra creativity. I designed this simple little pouch for my nephew to carry his favorite little cars when he is out on the errr... road!  :)

The pouch is made from soft navy fleece and features four snug compartments for four favorite cars!

Fold down the top flap to reveal a single letter monogram. A grosgrain ribbon ties it all together!

Millie

Sometimes, I must admit, it's incredibly difficult to send my little Friends off into the world... I became so attached to this little girl, that I decided to keep her as my own. I named her Millie after a character I created in my college days. 

It wouldn't be Charleston without some rainy day fun!

Better grab my umbrella!

Looks like more rain is on the way... More puddle-jumping!

I've had a wonderful summer frolicking in the sand at the beach!

Digging is really hard work, 
but building castles is one of my favorite things to do.
